The Best of Art of Manliness: February 2008

February went by like a whirlwind. Kate and I are both staying busy with the edits on the Art of Manliness book due out this fall. And despite being in my last semester of law school, I’m busier than ever. I’m taking a pretty full schedule, I have law review responsibilities and a part-part-time job, and I’ve been preparing for the legal ethics exam that every attorney has to take before they can get licensed. Luckily I have one awesome partner-in-crime, and Kate is picking up the slack and keeping me sane.

The site didn’t grow as much this month, but that’s okay. We’ve got a lot of things planned in the next month or two that will hopefully grow the AoM community and increase reader interaction with the site and with other readers. And every free minute, until the wee hours of the night and all weekend long, we’re working furiously to produce new content that you’ll hopefully find useful, inspiring, and entertaining.

If you haven’t already, make sure to sign up for the Art of Manliness forums and take part in the discussion there. You can register here. It’s a great place to get some support from other men who are also looking to improve their lives. I’m always impressed by how willing the forum members are to dispense sound advice. Here’s a look at some of the interesting discussion going on right now:

Our blog is a bootstrapped, mom and pop operation with a non-existent marketing budget and our growth is predominantly the result of word of mouth from men and women who feel that someone they know could do with a little more manliness in their life. We want to help men across the world man up. With that in mind, we  believe that the best way for us to grow our community is to leverage social media to our advantage. Don’t know anything about social media? Check out Social Media for Men.

Thanks for your continued support.
