I can’t believe summer is almost over. It went by fast. Thankfully, for the first time in 21 years I won’t be going back to school this fall. It feels sort of weird. Anyway, August was a great month at the Art of Manliness. Lots of great comments in the posts and lots of manly activity in the Community. Thanks again for all your help in making the Art of Manliness a success.

Your wish is my command. But only because you said please. I’m currently working on getting a podcast together. Hopefully the first one will be ready in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

Brett, how on earth do you manage to maintain a great website like this, research and write on the lives of great men and consistently write great articles whilst completing your studies? Top effort!

Brett – I had to write after reading your piece on Men and Depression. Having been through a long stint myself, I was moved by your courage and honesty – and your advice is right on, to boot.
I belong to a men’s team of 8 good guys – we’ve been meeting every Thursday evening, around a fire, with cigars, for 15 years. In turn, our team – The Joysticks – is part of a larger group, the Nation of Men – – which exists to support men, teams and community.
I’ve often shared your posts and pointed men to your site and part of the reason for writing is simply to say “thank you” for what you have and are doing to assist men be better men, to be the men we always wanted to be.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I am glad you have found AoM helpful for you and other men. Although I should point out that I cannot take credit for today’s “Dealing with Depression” post, as it was a guest post from another writer.

Your men’s group sounds great and I’m impressed with the mission of NOM. It’s very cool to know something like this is out there. It seems like something that should spread everywhere. Thanks for sharing!
