I am assuming that “taking control” of one of the attackers meant that he had cut his throat. I have met the Gurka. They made John Masters famous, not the other way around

If a man says he is not afraid of dying. Either he is lying, or he is a Gurkha.

Hello Ambrish Kumar, your comment “this is indian soldier proud tom be indian you done great job jai hind” draws my attention. Try to research good before you speak. Why Indian think that all the fame belongs to them? India say Gautam Buddha was born in India and creates fake Kapilbastu & now you are saying that Bishnu Shrestha is an Indian, what a joke! Learn to accept the truth. This guy is Nepalese Gurkha Army deployed to Indian mission for some period of time, may be to protect you from Pakistan. Find his details on this link:

I had the Honor to work with Retired Ghurkas in Iraq in 03. They are, without doubt, without question some of the most amazing, courageous, yet humble men on the planet. Don’t mistake their casual smile and generally happy demeanor for weakness. They are ferocious when prompted! Truly amazing Soldiers and I will always count myself honored to have been associated, even in passing, with the Gurkha!

My Dad served with the Ghurkas during the second world war. He had the greatest respect for these very brave but gentle men. He told us many stories about his time with them and taught us to have great respect for them also

That brave soldier was born and brought up in Nepal! And was going home back in Nepal, where his family still lives, after a voluntary retirement from Indian Army, but after this rare show of manliness his retirement was cancelled and was given promotion. He was even honoured at India National Day but Indian main stream media never mentioned his name and deeds probably because of his native country is Nepal not India.
