Next time you guys need to make the people write in the comments WHY they want that prize, and read it instead of doing random. If it’s something small than random would be fine. You’d want to give the shoes to someone would you use it for good purpose instead of reselling it or whatever wouldn’t you?

1. I’m far too busy to have the time to read through 4,000 comments.
2. Even if I did read through them all, selecting a winner would be nigh near impossible and completely subjective. Who would be able to say that two “whys” of the 4,000 were “better” reasons for wanting the boots than others? And what would prevent someone who wanted to resell the prize from simply making up the best story?
No, random selection is the way to go. The commenters selected randomly do have to answer the question and they can’t just put down anything. And I can say I have talked with both winners and they are both regular guys who are thrilled to have won these boots.
I may not have won, but I was so impressed with the product that I went out and bought a pair. They certainly do live up to the hype. I am very happy with them and it’s nice that they are made in Rockford, MI just a short drive from my home. Thanks for introducing me to them.
