Oh wow, its like ‘Predator’, only Arhnolud is the Sasquatch and T.R. is the alien. Yeah, T.R. represents greed and avarice brought on by capitalism, alien to this world before man; and Sasquatch represents goodly nature and mother/Gaia themes. Its a total reversal of the American manifest destiny cultural meme. Meta.

Chris March 26, 2011 at 9:21 am: I don’t think TR would gun down a Sasquatch…I think he was fascinated by them. After all, he included a sasquatch story in his book. I’m also not sure how Sasquatch is somehow un-American thus requiring the flag-waving, but there are definitely too many stars in that flag for TR’s time. And he IS carrying a machinegun, you can see it’s belt-fed.
