Punish the Specialist–Cross-Fit Workout

When Joshua Bateman isn’t making art with bullets, he’s a Cross-fit trainer. And he does his own workouts in a very cool, super rustic gym that he built in his backyard. Bateman believes in “punishing the specialist,” that is, doing a bunch of unrelated exercises instead of getting really good at just one or two. This video shows a workout that includes back flips and jumping rope with a chain. Pretty manly.

Crossfit is a cult. An exceptionally fit cult, but a cult nonetheless.

The dude is jumping rope with a chain and doing backflips off a tire. If that’s a cult, pass the Kool-Aid. Simply badass.

Cf changed my life. Don’t knock it till you try it helped me shed 112 lbs. I can now do one handed push ups. Keep up the good work Mr. Bateman!

When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with
the same comment. Is there any way you can remove
people from that service? Many thanks!
