John Carter Cash, only son of Johnny and June Cash, sorted through a treasure trove of photos and ephemera left by his famous parents, and compiled them for a new book about his father: House of Cash. The NYT provides a preview, including this photo of June and Johnny relaxing in their House on the Lake, and a love note written by Johnny to June. As Cash recalls, “Dad never ceased to remind my mother of his love for her.”

That’s sweet. Also without even realizing I read it in Johnny’s voice!
I wonder if this was written before Jackson.
This latter or note was written later much later since, he makes the comment about “they are no longer go out there and sing anymore”
I just read his autobiography “Cash” and it was pretty amazing. Just like this post. Just like love.
Ain’t it funny how time slips away? That’s the same thing that you told Vivian, it seems like only yesterday. Hell, she either helped you write “Ring of Fire” – or wrote it herself!
Remember “I Walk the Line”, Johnny? Too bad you couldn’t! But I’m sure you’ve had a chance to explain it ti a Higher Authority by now.
P.S. In your next life, try to outlive your first wife. Her later autobiography sure trumps yours!
To the author of the last post: I believe what you wrote is extremely disprespectful. The man had his issues and made mistakes, as do we all. He straightened out and later in life became a lincensed Baptist minister.
I think viven got a raw deal, but John & June were soal mates & if he had waited & not got married until he was, starting on his road to fame , viven would never have had a place in his life it would only have been June , because the first time he saw her he fell hard & he would have walked the line but for June , viven, has to make up her mind would she rather not have ever , wanted the man in black in her life , would that have made her life better or is she glad she had him for the time she did , she has to decide that & exept soal mates if they meet are going to be togheater , as I said it must have broke her heart but would it be better if she had never known him, I think not
I love this it’s so sweet the love they had for one another in my opinion is one of the sweetest love stories still till this day R.I.P John and June I’m sure wherever you are you’re together happy and just as much in love as you were when you were here on this earth;)
