That’s a great product name, Dorian! Don’t you just love free enterprise and capitalism? Awesome story guys! It just shows that the American dream is alive and well, even in an economy like this. I have to say that your greatest allied was your online and social marketing pursuits first. It’s the field leveling component for any small business. Look at how youtube has launched careers started from spare bedrooms and a computer with a web cam. And let’s not forget about ebay and Etsy. Your story should make people realize that they “MUST” incorporate early on into their business efforts an online presence. You can thumb your nose up at the big boys because of the internet.

Learn the ropes, and you can write your own ticket. You guys have proven that, as well as so many others. I’ve found success there, too. Not saying it doesn’t have its moments, but I would rather the overhead of an online first venture than even a small brick and mortar start any second of the day. I wish you continued success on and offline.

as a Senior business economics major I would say that your next step would be vertical integration. I would research how much it would cost to manufacture and distribute your product. right now you are a bottling and branding company but further expansion is going to be either more products or doing what you do now better.

Great article and great business. I was just looking on the Moonshine site yesterday to see where local retailers are near me. Turns out, one is a couple miles away (even closer when Belk rolls your stuff out)…
