The Weekly Huckberry Giveaway: September 21, 2012

in Giveaway

The winner of last week’s giveaway was:

Andrew Aldrich from Memphis, Tennessee. Andrew selected the Vermont 4 tent from Lightspeed. He was hoping to get one to take his new wife camping, and they’re already planning their trip. Have fun you two!

My Picks This Week

Once again this week Huckberry’s got a line-up of unique and interesting things that are just plain fun to browse through. The bear staple remover is awesome — having a bear’s jaws rip out your staples is the only way to do it. The handcrafted, Montana-made Meriwether Field Gear maple and walnut coat rack is surely a handsome place to hang your keys (remember, Do It Now!). And UCO has some great 9-hour candle lanterns (and other lanterns and lights as well) for the outdoors or emergencies.

The Prize

Any item currently available in the Huckberry Store. Be sure to check out the current line-up of items as it changes every week.

The Slim Straight Leg jeans from the General Store.

602 Josh September 24, 2012 at 7:47 am

I’d love to have the Defy Bags Recon (SM). I’ve wanted a nice bag for a while. While I’d like to one day purchase a bag from Saddleback Leather, this would be great until I have enough money to purchase one.

603 Matthew September 24, 2012 at 8:02 am

As a proud Marylander, I’ve gotta say I’d go for the Old Line State print by The Old Try.

604 Steve September 24, 2012 at 8:08 am

That dopp kit in tan would be amazing.

605 Edward Felch September 24, 2012 at 8:13 am

I like the Tellason straight leg jeans in size 38!

606 CFowlkes September 24, 2012 at 8:23 am

611 Nathan Price September 24, 2012 at 8:44 am

624 Joe September 24, 2012 at 10:13 am

Assuming we can’t get sold out items (that Defy Pivot bag looks awesome) I’d say the Tellason jeans.

641 Joe C September 24, 2012 at 11:39 am

I would like the bear staple remover. I recently started my new job as a rape-prevention specialist. It is an all-female office, so I could use a little something to offset the feminine aura of the place.

Defy Recon Small.

643 Jonathan September 24, 2012 at 11:52 am

Thank you for the opportunity.

644 Mike King September 24, 2012 at 11:56 am

Just ended a relationship and in the process I lost my favorite (only) lamp, my headlamp is handling the bedtime reading just fine but the Minimal Lamp would excel at this Im sure.

645 Ryan September 24, 2012 at 12:07 pm

Felt compelled to leave a comment about the EDC Kit w/ Freekey. Would be an awesome addition.

The Defy Bags > “Strapped” looks like a great bag for me!

649 Eric Davis September 24, 2012 at 12:51 pm

654 Scott Hendrickson September 24, 2012 at 1:12 pm

Not a fan of ice by any means, so the Whiskey Stones from the Huckberry store and myself would be a match made in heaven. Cheers!

655 Michael September 24, 2012 at 1:18 pm

I’m in for the Recon SM bag by Defy- the thing is gorgeous, and could be really useful as I get around the city.

656 Isaac H September 24, 2012 at 1:20 pm

So many good things there this week, but the Meriwether Minimal Lamp is fantastic!

657 Cory Nelson September 24, 2012 at 1:23 pm

The Heritage Wallet is so slim and different. Way better looking than a wallet clip or folding wallet.

I like the benchmade mini-griptillian.

659 Ed September 24, 2012 at 1:36 pm

The Defy Recon SM bag looks great!

664 Joe September 24, 2012 at 2:10 pm

Meriwether Field Gear’s Herb Garden. It’s great to be able to bring my little window sill herb garden in so I can still have fresh herbs during the Wisconsin winter. However, the tin planter that I’ve been using is getting a bit worn.

665 Terry September 24, 2012 at 2:12 pm

Meriwether cutting board with handle.

666 Cody September 24, 2012 at 2:13 pm

Shave Brush Silver please!

668 Kyle Triplett September 24, 2012 at 2:27 pm

I would love the SLING SHOT
BY MERIWETHER FIELD GEAR IN WHITEFISH, MT, primarily for my son, who turns 3 this year. I want to get him into more outdoor activities, and this would really help!

669 Eli Locke September 24, 2012 at 2:36 pm

I would have to go with the Carabiner knife, I’m actually looking for a good, decently priced US made knife, and that looks right up my alley, I work several day jobs, and play guitar at night, most of my day jobs require a good pocket knife, they can even be surprisingly useful as a musician.

670 Jon September 24, 2012 at 2:45 pm

Every time I go on Huckberry I find something else that I could use. Today, I’ll put my name in for the Leather Key Fob. Thanks for the look, and keep up the great work.

671 Ira September 24, 2012 at 2:50 pm

I would like the Grilliput with the firebowl.

672 Jim September 24, 2012 at 3:07 pm

Would love one of the Defy Bags for work, Recon SM is my favorite.

675 Dan September 24, 2012 at 3:42 pm

I would love the Elephant Staple Remover. My grandfather, who is one of the best examples of how to be a man, did a huge amount of mission work in Africa and just loves elephants. This would become a gift from a grandson to one manly grandfather.

676 Shawn September 24, 2012 at 3:44 pm

The General Store Straight Leg jeans!

677 Nolan September 24, 2012 at 3:46 pm

The HIPPO STAPLE REMOVER is not a want, but a need in my life! I have to have it! I never thought I would feel this way about a staple remover! Holy Crap! There is seriously some great stuff on Huckleberry this go around! I sat at my computer for 45 minutes with multiple windows opening trying to narrow it down, only to get narrowed down to one and then start looking at the other stuff and have to start over again! This weekly giveaway is truly one of the best things on the internet….. PERIOD! Each week drags on and on and on while I wait in anticipation!

678 Matthew September 24, 2012 at 3:49 pm

My family loves lawn games, so I’d love the V:King game set from the General Store.

679 Hugh D. September 24, 2012 at 3:50 pm

I’m really liking the Whiskey Wallet from Old Calgary. It’s looking well-made, and minimalist.

680 Alex September 24, 2012 at 3:53 pm

I love the mini-griptilian tanto.
I want a knife that can really get the job done and that I could pass on to my kids after I am done with it.

681 Sean September 24, 2012 at 3:56 pm

I’m going to stray away from the pack and say that the V:King Game Set would be awesome. It’s always good for an excuse to get outside in the fresh air.

682 Nicholas September 24, 2012 at 4:06 pm

As I’ve never had a toiletry case, the DOPP Kit in green looks like the one, and only I’d ever need.

683 Jarod September 24, 2012 at 4:12 pm

Recon LG

684 Trent September 24, 2012 at 4:15 pm

686 Dustin B. September 24, 2012 at 4:25 pm

I loving the T-Rex Staple Remover.

687 Joe Wilkinson September 24, 2012 at 4:27 pm

I like the RECON SM bag. I can never find a bag to carry my stuff in for work. All my stuff is in my backpack and my flight bag. I’m getting tired of wearing a backpack to work.

688 Chris Veres September 24, 2012 at 4:40 pm

A pair of those straight-leg jeans would be boss!

689 Kurtis September 24, 2012 at 4:41 pm

Definitely the whiskey lovers set from the general store – what better way to unwind under the moon than with some chilled, neat, 18yr aged scotch.

690 Zach P. September 24, 2012 at 4:52 pm

Definitely the tan Dopp Kit from the General Store.

691 Jarrod September 24, 2012 at 4:59 pm

I’d love that wine rack. Mmm mmm….

692 Geoff Barrett September 24, 2012 at 5:06 pm

696 Asa Holly September 24, 2012 at 5:26 pm

Manor Wallet SM

697 Adam Swanson September 24, 2012 at 5:29 pm

The Tellason Slim Straight jeans would be a wonderful reward for the lifestyle changes I have made since turning 30 last December.

I quit smoking and now I am working out during my lunch breaks, doing yoga and surfing on the weekends. Needless to say my old clothes don’t fit the way they used to and have since been donated to the needy. Great site btw!! :)

698 Andrew September 24, 2012 at 5:40 pm

That slingshot looks mighty fine. I can just imagine it jauntily jutting from my back pocket now

699 Ryan F September 24, 2012 at 5:41 pm

I’d love the First Class SM Bag in black for carrying my tech/drawing supplies.

700 Ben September 24, 2012 at 5:48 pm
