in Giveaway

The winner of the last giveaway (2 weeks ago) was:

John L. Micek from Harrisburg, PA. John selected the Tellason Jeans ($198) available in the Huckberry General Store. John recently lost 38 pounds and was looking to update his wardrobe for his new slimmer self. Way to go John!

My Picks This Week

This week I’ve got my eye on the tents from Lightspeed Outdoor. The name befits a company that has created their tents with an awesome, innovative design that lets you put up the tent in only 2 minutes, while keeping the tent sturdy and strong. There’s one for the beach, a solid 4-person version, and “The Compound,” which has 3 rooms and a screened-in porch and sleeps 8!

I also love those Rite in the Rain notebooks. They allow you to do just what the name implies! Perfect for jotting down your thoughts on your next camping trip.

There’s also some great beard oil and the very nice Made in the USA Chicago Comb available for the next 12 hours. So if you have your eye on those, be sure to enter straightaway!

The Classic Cedar swing from Merriweather Field Gear please.

My oldest daughter has outgrown her red plastic swing that is currently hanging from our tree, and I was intending on building a new one for her any way. This would cut down on build time greatly.

1316 Fader September 19, 2012 at 1:34 pm

With summer finally abating the Lightspeed Vermont would be perfect to take advantage of this time of year.

I would like to get my wife out into the wilderness in the fall and the tent I have is kind of, well, more like roughing it than she’d like. One of the Lightspeed tents would be excellent! Much easier than mine to set up and they look a lot easier to haul too.

1346 Ryan Badger September 19, 2012 at 8:05 pm

Love the Meriwether minimal lamp, having worked at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Montana this looks like a product well worth the cost.

1347 Tyler September 19, 2012 at 8:14 pm

I’m leaving for the Peace Corps and the last time I was in South America all my notebooks got drenched in the rain. So the (3) Top Spiral and Trekker all weather notebooks could be an awesome tool for note taking in the field.

I’d love to pick up the Leather Key Fob. I find myself always tinkering, usually far from my toolbox, and while useful my carry knife just doesn’t fit every job. That small multitool would definately become my closest companion.

1360 Dan September 19, 2012 at 10:47 pm
