in Giveaway

The winner of the last giveaway (2 weeks ago) was:

John L. Micek from Harrisburg, PA. John selected the Tellason Jeans ($198) available in the Huckberry General Store. John recently lost 38 pounds and was looking to update his wardrobe for his new slimmer self. Way to go John!

My Picks This Week

This week I’ve got my eye on the tents from Lightspeed Outdoor. The name befits a company that has created their tents with an awesome, innovative design that lets you put up the tent in only 2 minutes, while keeping the tent sturdy and strong. There’s one for the beach, a solid 4-person version, and “The Compound,” which has 3 rooms and a screened-in porch and sleeps 8!

I also love those Rite in the Rain notebooks. They allow you to do just what the name implies! Perfect for jotting down your thoughts on your next camping trip.

There’s also some great beard oil and the very nice Made in the USA Chicago Comb available for the next 12 hours. So if you have your eye on those, be sure to enter straightaway!

1116 Kyle Triplett September 18, 2012 at 11:28 am

I would love “The Compound” tent. I’ve been wanting to take my family, but with 2 kids under the age of 3, it can be tricky. This would give us plenty of space.

That black shave brush would be great. Shaving the old way is my thing.

1125 Colin September 18, 2012 at 12:26 pm

1126 Alex A. September 18, 2012 at 12:41 pm

This Mini-Griptilian Tanto is perfect! I’ve been looking for a nice knife for basic utility work around my house and at work. This thing is everything I’ve been looking for.

1133 Greg Wilson September 18, 2012 at 1:07 pm

My wife has been sick and this fall will be our first opportunity to go camping in a long time. Just in time as we celebrate our 25th anniversary. Tough economy made and health care bills make a big trip impossible this year, but she loves the outdoors, so the Vermont 4 tent would be the perfect surprise anniversary gift for her to finally get out and celebrate! Thanks, folks.

1150 Alec September 18, 2012 at 2:28 pm

recently went camping with the guys, I’d love the Vermont 4 for situations like that. I hate few things more than dealing with traditional tent poles

1151 Benjamin September 18, 2012 at 2:28 pm

Lots of great stuff here…whiskey stones, that tanto (who doesn’t need a great utility knife)…but by far, the thing I would choose is the Lightspeed 4 person tent. I’ve always wanted to get more into camping, but have always hated tent set up. I’d take some extended trips with that badboy. Thanks for sharing the site.

The Lightspeed Compound would be a great addition. We’ve struggled with taking the dogs camping as our 2 person tent just doen’t lend itself to 2 adults, and 2 dogs.

This might be just the ticket to kick my butt back in to enjoying camping.
