According to this book (http://library.mises.org/books/Murray%20N%20Rothbard/Wall%20Street,%20Banks,%20and%20American%20Foreign%20Policy.pdf), Roosevelt was a Morgan man. Check out page xii in the introduction.

TR was not a “rogue” against the special interests.

To follow up Brandon’s comment about asking the crowd not to hurt the would-be assassin – Are you sure you’re not thinking of McKinley stopping the crowd from injuring Leon Czolgosz? I know that to be true but had never heard the same about Roosevelt. Obviously I could be wrong but just asking.

How timely! I am currently finishing reading “The Rise of Theodore Rooseveldt” by Edmund Morris.

He is even more awesome in long-form, and the book is very good, so I do recommend you pick it up. I’m not generally a biography-reader, but I can’t put it down. TR is pretty damn inspiring.

I’m going to have to read “Theodore Rex” right afterward, really.
