To those complaining, I’d point out that the issue here is not whether one uses body spray or cologne. The point here is subtlety, which is important in many areas of fashion and/or impressing the ladies, and consideration of others.

Dim here is about as subtle as a brick to the head as he perpetrates olfactory assault on everyone he walks past. Dash goes for a more subtle approach, and doesn’t impose his taste in cologne on the whole room.

As far as body spray vs. cologne, you can over-apply cologne just as easily as you can body spray (I’ve done it by accident before). That’s not the issue.

As a side note, I wish more girls/women would be more like Dash in this scenario as well. When I nearly start choking when a lady walks by, it’s too much perfume.

I think these gentlemen are on different missions here. Dash has most likely been set up with a “…really sweet girl with a great sense of humor,” who is most likely the daughter of one of his mother’s friends. Dim is going out to get some real action and possibly wake up in a strange place.

I never thought I’d see so many guys sticking up for the use of body spray. The TV ads are enough to make me want to avoid using it, let alone the smell – particularly when using half the bottle per application.
