Father’s Day is in two weeks and that means it’s time to go gift shopping for dear old dad (or if you’re a dad, it’s time to start dropping hints on what you want). Instead of the usual tie or coffee mug, why not think outside the box this year? I picked the items to include in the store and the gents at Huckberry worked with the companies to get a special discount just for AoM readers who sign up as a member of Huckberry. I would get the red packs and pens
The tanto definitely. My dad has carried the same knife for decades, and I’m sure that repeated use/sharpening will be taking their toll on it.

This was not a hard choice. Given what I know and my love of the outdoors I would have to choose the navy and red hammock kit. Nothing better than a couple of shade trees, a hammock, and that tasty beverage of choice.

After being forced to trash my pocketknife some weeks ago before entering a music festival, the Mini-Griptilian Tanto would be a fine replacement.
The tan/green hammock would be perfect for my dad at his teens at risk wilderness camp in Maine. Then I’ll buy one for myself. We love to set them side by side with a chess set between us.

Oh no question the hammock I can just see the old man with a beer in one hand a fishing pole in the other napping in that thing down by the creek.
I carry a pocket knife daily and have had a Benchmade on my wishlist for a few years, so the Mini Griptilian would be my product of choice.

He’s a new dad to an adopted daughter and new son, and still manages to foster special needs children for short term (1-3 month stays), while being a FT firefighter/EMT, PT security guard, and starting his own landscaping business. The 510D Grill, hands down. Had to 86 the old grill when we moved, haven’t eaten the same since.
The black MKVI Watch. I used to have a similarly styled (but not nearly so well made Timex) that disappeared on a camping trip, and I haven’t had a decent watch since.
