I have recently visited the Scott Polar Musuem in Cambridge, UK, and regardless of the mistakes made by the expedition, two things caught my eye.

First, Scott recorded in his diary that he made a conscious decision to continue with his scientific goals after learning of Amundsen’s expedition, even if it meant losing the race to the pole.

The second was a quote from his last letter to his wife, written a few days before he died:

“How much better it has been than lounging in comfort at home”

Stellar Post! Especially loved the Manly Sewing pitch, pointed that one out to the DH. I think the strongest argument that can be made for comparison between the 2 men is the idea that Simple is better. And simple doesn’t mean doing less work, it means Working Smarter instead of Working Harder.
