Just to make us better, In my personal life I have gotten lucky and ran in to a small group of men who have helped forge me into the man I am today each of them different but each of them MEN, I would share this collection with them, I may not be able to exchange knowledge from my experiences with them so, to give this to them would be a very small way of saying thank you and to prove that real men never stop changing and striving for good.

My oldest son is leaving for college in about 5 months.. He has asked me on several occasions where “did you learn this stuff, dad?” Well, Alot come from my father and AoM. So, If I were chosen to recieve this prize, I would pack it in my son’s duffle and let him have it as he goes off to begin his life. I can not be with him in his dorm when he needs advise but these books can.!!!

I would pass this along to my son.

When I started here at the library I created a life skills shelf were I keep books on making fires, making wood toys, and so on. I would keep the books here because boys, young men in training, need somethings that they can learn from and put into practice.
