Great Post!
You’ve really distilled time management into some of its primary elements. I’ve read a lot of articles that say that college students need to manage their time better without any real steps to doing so. Thanks for the help!
Getting a change of scenery is also especially helpful. I’ve been doing that ever since I read Sandy’s post The Importance of Environment: http://www.successacademics.com/blog.html He, too laid out the importance of environment on the effectiveness of studying.

I also make a study schedule myself, and it really works.

My personal favorite is to talk with fellow students about the subject. This way I will learn from others.

That second article on studying was written by my Discrete Mathematics professor. It’s definitely a great read and a wonderful resource for those looking to increase their study skills. He’s also a great professor! I was so surprised to see it turn up on one of my favorite blogs.

Interesting and helpful, but any recommendations for classes that are not so traditional? I’m a student taking up music production and it requires a lot of theory, any technique or advice on how to study that?
