There is an actual application for the "invisible" aspect of Blue Ghost: you mix it with another ink. While a forger may be able to copy your signature, the ink you use can have an uncopyable aspect which is not obvious under normal light.

I got my bottle of Noodler's Blue Ghost today, along with a pair of the backlights from the Goulets. I tried it with a J. Herbin Glass Pen, and it worked great. However, I do have a 15 year old son at boarding school. We are going up this weekend. I am bringing back his 2 FPs that he left with me last weekend to flush and re-ink for him. I will also bring a 1/2 oz bottle of BG, 1 blk light and a nib pen.

This is about the only situation where I can see owning a bottle of this stuff, unless of course you were a buddy of the sex pot Russian spy

Ironically enough, Noah, there will be a bottle of Noodler's Blue Ghost waiting in my mailbox when I get home. It was an impulsive buy, but I just had to try it out. And then, today, I read this article and started laughing to myself...

The BBC recently did a remake of Hitchcock's "39 Steps" in which invisible ink plays a significant part in revealing an international espionage plot.

@Bailey, "sympathetic" is actually correct. I am sure you probably thought it was supposed to be "synthetic", but a quick search confirms he used the correct term.
