What a awesome gig. Outside of work and family, motorcycles are my obsession. Weather it be my 02 triumph bonnevile, 74 Honda cb750 or my “adventure” bike, a 1976 Yamaha it400, i’ve never had a bad day on a motorcycle, no matter how shitty the weather.

This guy is amazing! He’s really out there living the life! It also makes me happy to know that he went to University in Vermont (my home state). The pictures are great too. I can’t believe he was in an ambulance after a run in with a kangaroo!

After having ridden a good chuck of this great continent myself, I have to say he is a very fortunate Yank to have such a great job. There is little better than riding in the vast and open expanses of this country, Australia. I would back up his statement on just how vast a land this is and just how little realisation foreigners actually have of that concept.
I must say that we don’t call our ladies ‘Sheila’s’ these days either…Just a bit politicly incorrect, sad to say. And there is nothing wrong with sleeping in a swag, unless you don’t like spiders, snakes, scorpians, bull-ants and dust. Then I might say get a tent or one of those new design swags that are fully enclosed.

yup, plus one on that….there is nothing like seeing the world on a bike. I just did the three day Hanoi-Sapa bike trip with my girlfriend on the back, and now she’s a convert. Plotting to do Hanoi-Hong Kong next, through the mountains, and then through southern China….can’t wait. But even as an Australian…I’m not dumb enough to do what that guy does! kudos, and nice piece.

That´s amazing. I just finished an adventure ride to the bottom of Argentina, and there´s nothing like this kind of motorcycling. I do want that job. Like he said, day after day can get to you after a bit, as it´s unpredictable and challenging, but that just makes the whole experience that much better.
