I go to the outdoor to “shed” things. To see how many things I can do without. I need good clothing, a strong knife, a way to make fire, and a way to carry water. I like the idea of smoothing it, it’s really all about simplifying.

This is a GREAT book, every camper should pick it up. Written WAY back when camping didn’t involve RVs, cell phones, or “add water and presto!” meals.
