Cheerwine is a cherry soda, not a cola and not even close! The premium RC that was released in the 90′s was called RC Draft and it was made w/ cane sugar. Man I miss that stuff. The Ace near me sells all sorts of throwback bottles, supposedly original formulas from every brand under the sun like Double Cola and Faygo. Good stuff, most of it.

they are all imitators from the original Coke.. nevertheless coke helps lots of people all around the world.. charities, schools, livelihood, health.. the other brand? ZERO.. just pure selling..that SUCKS

REALLY a great review !! I’ve been trying differet colas and looking for one made with Stevia – Coke and Pepsi are supposed to be coming out with that product. I called CocaCola in Atlanta (where I grew up) and asked about it early last year. I was told they were test maketing it in Chicago ! Also, I read on line that Coke made with cane sugar is available during the Christmas holidays – has a yellow cap on it. You can also get the cane sugar Coke in Mexico – I live in Florida !!!! Hope the soda companies get with the program and help us get a healthy cola.

My local ACME stocks the real sugar variety of Coca-Cola in glass bottles. And I agree it is the best. You may also want to mention what kind of container cola comes in. By far plastic is the worst tasting container for cola and glass being the best.

Please, I beg you, stop repeating the junk science nonsense about HFCS. While it does have a different ‘mouth feel’ as compared to cane sugar sweeteners, it does NOT ‘bypass the pancreas’. Your insulin output will be affected by HCFS in much the same way it will be affected by cane sugar and honey.

I think you definitely should have mentioned that you can still get Coca-Cola made with sugar from other parts of the word — here in the States, that generally means Mexico.

And Coke with sugar is, hands, down, the best cola I’ve ever tasted. Granted, I’m sure I’m a bit biased, as I like the U.S. corn syrup Coke plenty well, too, but it’s certainly worth a mention.
