in Blog, Roundup

Once again, it’s time for the weekly roundup, in which I share interesting links that I found while surfing the web this week.

50 Nifty Tricks for Big DIY Savings (@ this old house) In this tough economy, the little things can add up to big savings. The folks at This Old House have put together a list of 50 easy tricks that can save you money around the house.

Beardhead.com Beard Head knit beard caps combine the comfort and warmth of a traditional knit cap with the amazing styling of having a massive beard and mustache growing on your face. Of course, you could grow a real beard. That will keep your face warm, too.

Authenticity (@ seth godin) Great article by master marketer Seth Godin on the importance of being authentic in all aspects of your life. Best line from the article: “Authenticity, for me, is doing what you promise, not ‘being who you are.’” (Hat tip to Tyler Hayes)

Code Name Insight According to their byline, Code Name Insight is “The site for adventurers, travelers, mercenaries, fed-types, pseudo fed-types, survivalists, military, techies, researchers….” If you’re remotely interested in wilderness survival or emergency preparedness, you’ll be sucked into this site and spend hours scouring all the resource links.

Finally, in honor of Conan O’Brien’s last show, I present “Conan Playing Old Time Baseball” Hilarious!

How can I submit an article?

I wrote a post about the pros and cons of credit cards at http://debtfreecollege.blogspot.com/2009/02/weighing-pros-and-cons-of-credit-cards.html. How can I submit it for your weekly roundup?

Thanks!
